Parents of Sophomores, this very special event is for you and your Sophomore! Sophomore Spotlight is a tradition at Westwood Church because of the great impact this event has had on countless parents and children. At Sophomore Spotlight we ask the parents of Sophomores to write a letter telling their Sophomore how proud they are of them, how much you love them and how bright their future will be. Then at the event, we ask the parents to read their letter out loud to their child in front of the entire audience. This event has the potential to be a bit embarrassing for our Sophomores, but our history with this event tells us that it is worth it. The written letters should be between 300 – 450 words and only take between 2-3 minutes to read. Parents, please have your written letter sent to me by Sunday, October 8. I will print the letter, have it displayed in a nice frame and ready for you to read for this event! Thank you so much!
